LLAMA webinar helps you justify your library budget

Does your library keep statistics that easily communicate its value to the community and other stakeholders? If yours is like most libraries, probably not. But don’t worry; it’s not too late to start! The Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) will present: "Outcome Based Budgeting for Beginners: Communicating Your Value," on Wed., Mar. 23, at 1:30 – 3:00 pm (Central time).

In this webinar, you will learn how to convey your library’s full value to external stakeholders by choosing the most effective qualitative and quantitative measures. You will also learn how to use readily accessible tools to find the most useful statistics for showing the return on investment (ROI) on your services, justifying reasonable pay rates, and communicating your value visually.

At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Formulate a strategy for conveying the library's value to outside stakeholders
  • Determine what qualitative and quantitative measures are needed
  • Develop those measures if they don't exist
  • Learn about readily accessible external statistics and how to use them
  • Evaluate and deliver the results

Who Should Attend: Those at public libraries in need of using statistics to justify their budgets; new librarians and library school students.
