LLAMA webinar: “Using Google Sheets + Google Sites to Create a Library Data Dashboard”

Wednesday, 7/20/20162:30 PM-4:00 PM (Eastern)

Sure, there is lots of free software out there that can help you organize your library data.  But, who has the time to sit down and figure it all out???  Sometimes a webinar is the best way to learn what you need quickly. This webinar will focus on demonstrating how you can use Google Sheets and Google Sites to develop a simple library data dashboard that can communicate library data, document data sources, and track progress over time.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this webinar participants will be able to:

  • Explain how Google Sheets and Google Sites are connected

  • Explain what Google Sheets + Google Sites can and cannot do in terms of data organization and data display

  • Describe examples of using Google Sheets + Google Sites to display data tables, graphs, and documentation for multiple library types

  • Identify applications for Google Sheets + Google Sites at their own libraries

  • Create their own simple Google Site

  • Share Google Sheets and Google Sites with appropriate relative reporters, and control access using permissions for both data entry and data display access

Who Should Attend

Library administrators, department heads and survey coordinators will learn ways to improve documentation and communication about library data.
