Creative Community Engagement with the GIANT Room

Join us for a panel presentation with the GIANT Room and representatives from three of the six pilot libraries that participated in a year-long project addressing ways that libraries can enhance their community connections with children and families through creative programming for the whole community.

Each of the six pilot libraries had the opportunity to work with the GIANT Room staff to create unique community experiences, and co-facilitate their own programs.  From a large Halloween-themed event where A GIANT Storybook was created based on the creations of the children and families at the event, to an undersea-themed event where creations children made were turned into AI collector cards, and a storytelling DNA event where participants created one GIANT microscopic world full of cells in a floor art mural, the creative possibilities were endless. Visit the GIANT Room Libguide for more information and pictures from some of the programs.

This panel presentation will kick-off a new grant year with the GIANT Room which will include a series of learning workshops in the Fall and a new opportunity for more libraries to participate in holding their own community programs with the GIANT Room. Stay tuned!
