Academic Library Tech Services Roundtable
LOC Subject Headings & Beyond
Join us for the next meeting of our Academic Library Services Roundtable for an interactive conversation about the proposed changes to LOC subject headings announced this past February: https://classweb.org/tentative-subjects/2412a.html
We can discuss other aspects of subject headings such as varying subject headings from system to system and implications on single search discovery layers (e.g. ProQuest's Thesis and Dissertation unique subject headings).
PLEASE REGISTER USING THIS LINK.
Olin Library at Wesleyan University will be hosting this hybrid round table and has kindly offered a tour of the Olin and Science Libraries at Wesleyan following the round table discussion.
Attendees are encouraged to attend in person as it's nice to connect in person when we can but if travel or distance is an issue, join on Zoom for the meeting. Please be prepared to have your camera on if you're comfortable - seeing faces helps us feel more connected. We'd like to hear from you too - if you do not have a microphone, you can call in on your phone.
Please note that this meeting will not be recorded. As with all our roundtables, we want to create a space where attendees feel comfortable speaking freely.
*Parking* Map of Wesleyan Park in one of the E-Lot labeled parking areas. Attendees will be emailed the week of for their car make + model and license plate number for parking passes.
