Design Principles for Great Flyers Part 1

Design Principles for Great Flyers Part 1

Every library produces flyers and newsletters, but most of us don't have a graphic design degree. In this beginner level workshop, participants will learn a few easy-to-implement tips for fonts, colors, and layouts to make materials pop. Knowledge of Microsoft Word required.

  1. To understand the design principles of typefacing (fonts)
  2. To understand the basics of color theory and symbolism
  3. To learn basic layout principles used in good designs
  4. To complete a design project

This is a hands-on class taking place in the computer lab at the Middletown Library Service Center. Limit of 12 attendees.

Note that Design Principles for Great Flyers, Part 2 is taking place on Thursday, July, 12. For details and to register for that session, visit
