Sorry, Were You Talking to Me? Overcoming Barriers to Communication: CLA's Library Leadership Skills Development Institute

Registration is now open for the 2018 Library Leadership Skills Development Institute sponsored by the CLA Career Development Committee to be held on Friday, August 18 from 9 AM to 4 PM.  Current ALA President Loida Garcia-Febo will deliver the keynote address, followed by morning and afternoon breakout sessions related to the theme of this year’s Institute – Sorry, Were You Talking to Me? Overcoming Barriers to Communication.

The $50 registration fee ($60 for those who are not CLA members) includes a continental breakfast, lunch, and a dessert reception at the end of the day that will include opportunities to network, connect with a potential mentor, or have your résumé or cover letter reviewed.  A drawing for a special gift basket will also take place at the reception, but you must be present to win.

Online registration ends August 10.  Walk in registration on the day of the Institute will be accepted provided there is space available, so be sure to secure your spot early!
