Virtual Currencies for Librarians (Free Webinar)
This is a free webinar from ALA
Virtual currencies, like Bitcoin, have attracted significant attention lately. What are virtual currencies, though? Where can a consumer find accurate information?
The Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection (the Bureau) will host a webinar to help library staff better understand how virtual currency markets operate, identify reliable resources they can share, and help patrons avoid fraud. This webinar will feature speakers from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and the North American Securities Administrators Association. Each organization will showcase free and unbiased materials you may use in your library to help consumers get a better understanding of virtual currencies.
Step 1: To join the webinar on July 19, please go to the following link at the time of the webinar:

Step 2: Listen to the audio by dialing 888-795-5920 and entering participant passcode 86-512-51.
