New Adventures in Discovery : A Program about Getting the Most out of Your Discovery Layer or Catalog: CLA Technical Services Section: Fall Program

New Adventures in Discovery : A Program about Getting the Most out of Your Discovery Layer or Catalog: CLA Technical Services Section: Fall Program

Please join the Connecticut Library Association’s Technical Services Section at the Farmington Library on October 18, 2018 as we gather to talk about the art of discovery in library catalogs today.  A major trend in libraries today is the use of discovery tools and various customizations to our library catalogs to enhance and make the best use of library metadata.  Librarians of all areas work hard to help patrons gain access to the information but do we know how our library catalogs are using library metadata to enhance accessibility and do we know how to customize and update our library catalogs to make the best use of library metadata?

Come join us as our speakers touch on the various topics of discovery including use of library metadata, local customization of library catalogs or discovery layers, and about best practices related to enhancing discovery in your library catalog.
