Coding, Equity, and Digital Learning Made Simple with Girls Who Code

The Connecticut State Library has partnered with Girls Who Code (GWC) to bring free computer science learning opportunities to our libraries. GWC Clubs are FREE programs for 3rd-5th grade or 6th-12th grade girls to join a sisterhood of supportive peers and role models and use computer science to change the world.

Join us in a live webinar with Emily Ong, our CT GWC Senior Community Partnerships & Outreach Manager, to learn more about implementing GWC in your library and changes that have been made to adapt to the COVID 19 Pandemic.

The session will also feature best practices for building inclusive and holistic coding programs with adaptable options for the virtual learning landscape. Dive deeper into social and emotional learning best practices and curriculum design recommendations that will make it a breeze to combine coding and equity together. Through a walkthrough of the GWC Clubs model, you will gain tangible tips and activities you can implement right away and learn how to unlock GWC's free virtual resources and curriculum for 3-12th graders of all skill-levels and genders.

Club benefits include:

-Free and flexible coding curriculum and resources

-Exclusive virtual events with GWC corporate partners
- Access to an alumni network for the girls including summer opportunities, job boards and more!
- No computer science experience needed to get started since GWC is there for you every step of the way.
