Girls Who Code at Your Library

Do you want to offer STEAM programming at your public or school library? Try starting a Girls Who Code club! The Connecticut State Library has partnered with Girls Who Code (GWC) to bring free computer science learning opportunities to our libraries. GWC Clubs are FREE turnkey programs for 3rd-5th grade or 6th-12th grade girls to join a sisterhood of supportive peers and role models and use computer science to change the world.

Join us in a live webinar with Valerie Tomici, our CT Girls Who Code representative, to learn more about implementing GWC in your library and get a preview of sample coding activities and best practices for building inclusive and holistic STEAM programming.

When you start a GWC Club:

  • You'll gain access to 120+ hours of flexible and easy-to-use coding curricula across all skill levels, spotlights on inspiring female role models, community-building activities, and comprehensive support and training.
  • Everything is always free, with tons of brand new features this 21-22 academic year like t-shirts and other swag incentives!
  • All genders are welcome in the girls-supportive environment.
  • There is NO prior coding experience needed for you to facilitate your Club.
