Library Construction case study: E.C. Scranton Memorial Library, Madison
The E.C. Scranton Memorial Library of Madison recently completed a $15 million renovation and expansion of its building, including an enlarged children's department with dedicated program room, a bigger teen department with multi-media room, additional group study rooms, a dedicated quiet reading area, and new meeting rooms. While the library building was under construction, library services relocated to a temporary space in the north part of Madison.
In this case study, hear from Laura Downes, Head of Special Projects, and Lydia Holland, Head of Children's Services, about their experiences with the renovation and relocation and the lessons they learned along the way. Together, they will share the timeline of the project, discussing the challenges and ultimately the opening of a beautiful like-new library.
Perfect for: anyone considering a library renovation or construction project, including Library Directors/Administrators, Youth Services Staff, Library Board Members, and Building Committee Members
This webinar will be recorded and posted afterward to https://libguides.ctstatelibrary.org/dld/construction/buildingsresources.
